Superior Court Executive Office, Darrel Parker, announces the commencement of recruitment for the 2024-2025 Civil Grand Jury term. As an essential pillar of the community, members of the Civil Grand Jury act as a guardians of government operations, ensuring accountability, transparency, and integrity in public administration.
Civil Grand Jury members investigate local issues and produce comprehensive reports with findings and recommendations to enhance government operations. Responsibilities include examining various aspects of county and city government (including special districts and joint powers agencies).
No prior jury experience or training are required to serve. Applicants should be prepared to commit 25-30 hours a week conducting investigations, interviews and attending grand jury meetings. Responsibilities include actively gathering data, writing, and/or editing reports, and conducting investigations or interviews.
