Three Injured in Vehicle Crash Near La Purisima Mission

Three people sustained injuries in a traffic collision near Lompoc on Saturday afternoon.

At 3:17 p.m., Santa Barbara County Firefighters responded to the area of Purisima and Mission Gate Roads, near the entrance of La Purisima Mission.

Crews discovered two SUV’s had collided with one vehicle on its side in the middle of the roadway. An adult male driver and female passenger required extrication through the windshield of this SUV. They sustained moderate injuries.

An adult female in the second SUV sustained minor injuries.

All three patients were transported to the Lompoc Valley Hospital by two ground ambulances.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
