Santa Barbara Humane Announces Wild West Fest Event in Santa Maria

Santa Barbara Humane is inviting the Santa Maria community to attend their inaugural Wild West Frest on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at the Santa Maria Elks Lodge. The event will last from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.

Funds raised through the event will help make it possible for the Santa Maria campus to place pets into homes and offer critical resources like low-cost or free veterinary care and affordable dog training that keep animals out of the shelter system. In 2023, more than 900 animals were adopted from the organization’s Santa Maria campus.

But adoptions aren’t the only success that Santa Barbara Humane will be celebrating: last year, the
organization provided $423,761 of low-cost or free medical services to 5,096 community-owned animals at their Santa Maria clinic. This accounts for 85% of the $514,799 in medical services that Santa Barbara Humane provided through its donor-supported TLC Fund in 2023.

Guests of the Wild West-themed event will enjoy the lively tunes of the Just Dave Band as they sip signature drinks, participate in exciting activities, raffles, and auctions, and mingle with like-minded animal lovers.
