Firefighters Knock Down Fire in Orcutt Home

Santa Barbara County firefighters knocked down a fire in an Orcutt home on Friday afternoon.

Crews responded to Crescent Lane after a passerby called 911 to report smoke coming from a window of a single family residence.

Firefighters found smoke and fire coming from a room of the house and extinguished it within ten minutes.

There were no injuries or residents on the premise. Crews will remain on the scene to overhaul the area.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
