Tree stands Straight Up on Foothill Rd. after sliding down hillside on Foothill in Santa Barbara. On Sunday around 4:45 PM, 2/4/2024.
Also, witnessed several small rock slides as I drove toward Fire station #7 for more sandbags.

I would have bulldozed the tree and back in to to the hillside, It may have been able survive and reinforce the ground in the future and thus, protect the property.

IDKWH, to that specific wonderful tree. Hopefully, in a more advanced society like ours we can save the trees every time. LoL. They could be moved to a more likely survival location or nurtured back to health in their own living, existing, eco-shell. :/
The Foothill Rd / Hwy. 192 corridor was reopened A.S.A.P. after a closure due to several mud/rock/landslides.2/4/24.
