Seventy-Foot Tree Falls on Goleta Condo Complex

A seventy-foot tall tree fell onto a Goleta condominium complex early Sunday.

At 4:19 a.m., Santa Barbara County Firefighters responded to the 7600 block of Hollister Ave and discovered the tree had fallen on the roof of a second story residence.

The County Building Department inspected the scene and red-tagged both the second story unit and the downstairs unit.

Four people and one dog have been displaced. There were no injuries.

Firefighters remained on the scene to assist with salvage and recovery of personal items for the displaced residents.
