Santa Barbara County Firefighters responded to a Goleta structure fire with at least one person inside on Tuesday morning.
At 10:55 a.m. crews arrived in the 700 block of San Ramon for a 2nd Alarm structure fire response.
Crews found smoke coming and visible flames coming from the front side of the second floor on a two-story residence.
Firefighters rescued one adult male and a small dog from the second story balcony.
The adult male denied treatment and transport to the emergency room by paramedics. The dog was uninjured.
Crews knocked down the fire at 11:48 a.m. and will continue conducting mop-up and overhaul of remaining hotspots.
Twelve people and two dogs are displaced due to the fire. The Red Cross was notified to assist with temporary housing and supplies.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
