On January 30, Medora’s Book Club features a taut, international thrilled called Bond Hunter, written by Kia McInerny, that explores little known facts of Wall Street’s role in financing Germany’s war on Europe.
The book, set in October 1994, occurs four years after the fall of the Berlin Wall. Stunned by the mysterious death of her grandfather and law partner, new attorney Kenna Rand [protagonist] is approached to take over his efforts to redeem a portfolio of German bearer bonds issued during Hitler’s rise to power. The bonds, in default since the Nazi regime, are payable in gold.
Admission is $50 and includes an autographed copy of the book.
Space is limited. Reservations are required.
