Helicopter Transports Driver from Multi-Vehicle Collision in Buellton

An injured driver required a helicopter transport following a multi-vehicle collision in Buellton on Friday afternoon.

Around 1:20 p.m., Santa Barbara County firefighters responded to the 1000 block of SR-246, just west of Skytt Road.

Three vehicles were involved in a collision. One male driver sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital by a Calstar helicopter.

There were no other injuries. SR-246 remained open but with heavy traffic.

California Highway Patrol is investigating the collision.

Around the same time on Highway 154, a vehicle reportedly crashed off the roadway near the entrance to Lake Cachuma.
