Santa Barbara County firefighters responded to a structure fire in Orcutt early Sunday morning, New Year’s Eve.
Crews arrived in the 800 block of Millstone Ave at 6:39 a.m. for a call about smoke coming from a building.
They discovered a detached accessory structure, that appears to be some kind of greenhouse although this has yet to be confirmed, with fire in the interior.
Crews extinguished the fire at 7:04 a.m. and prevented it from extending to nearby structures. There was moderate damage to the building and minor damage to a fence.
There were no injuries and the cause is under investigation.
