The Sun Fire off Highway 1 is now 100% contained.
Fire Captain Scott Safechuck announced Monday the fire was declared contained as 6:00 p.m. Sunday.
The cause is under investigation.

As of this morning, the Sun Fire has reached 211 acre and is 60% contained, reports the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
Remaining resources on the fire are three handcrews , four Type-3 engines (4×4 brush truck/engines), and two water tenders.
The cause is under investigation.

The Santa Barbara County Fire Department reports the Sun Fire is now 20% contained at 200 acres as of Friday morning.
County Fire and CalFire crews remain on the scene with 100 firefighters assigned to the incident, strengthening and improving containment lines.
All other Op Area Departments resources released with windy and low humidity conditions expected today, said Captain Safechuck.

Santa Barbara County firefighters and additional resources are on the scene of a growing brush fire off Highway 1.
The fire is located in the 7200 block of the highway, near the Sunburst Sanctuary off Alamo Creek Road. Crews responded at 12:15 p.m. on Thursday.
California Highway Patrol is reporting the fire is to the rear of the Sunburst property, approximately one mile past the ridge.
Initially reported at five acres with a moderate rate of spread in cut grass, the fire is now reported to have reached 200 acres, according to County Fire Captain Scott Safechuck.
There are no structures threatened at this time.
A 2nd alarm has been initiated with six fixed wing tankers and two helicopters on the scene.

Brush fire is growing quickly off Highway 1, west of Las Cruces and near a retreat center.
Air attack called in with additional resources, crews worried about rapid spread.
Potential for this to get much much bigger. Air resources are on it to prevent that.
FYI, county is calling this the SunFire Incident
This is by the Sunburst Sanctuary. 1 tanker clearing to Porterville and the other to load and drop one more then clear. Looks like dozers, crews and water tenders will take care of it.
