The Mystic Whaler is a 75-foot gaff-rigged schooner that was spotted in the Santa Barbara Harbor on Saturday.
Launched in 1967 the ship spent her first 25 years operating in the northeast. She’s a representation of a late 19th century cargo schooner.
In 2021 she was purchased by Central Coast Ocean Adventures and moved to Oxnard where she now lives and provides educational opportunities, as well as public and private tours.
That’s a cool looking ship. I would have loved to have a school field trip on board.
