Motorcycle Collision on Chapala Street

By Geo Duarte

Vehicle Versus Motorcycle Àccident on Chapala and W. Los Ollivos.

Serious motorcycle accident at 5 PM on the 4th of July at the intersection of Chapala St  and W. Los Olivos.  A small Grey Chevy struck a green motorcycle.

The motorcycle was traveling North on Chapala and was “barely” side swiped by a smaller profile vehicle. The driver remained on the scene and immediately stopped his travel on L:os Olivos.  The driver of the vehicle stated he felt the motorcyclist was driving too fast and ripped off his front license plate. The driver of the grey car was calm and appeared to be processing what had just occurred.

The left pedal of the motorcycle was completely broken off and the rider suffered severe injuries to his left foot. Possibly broken-in-two as described by a reporting officer.
