Around 5:37p.m. I heard what sounded like a gunshot on the lower Westside (San Andres/Micheltorena).
It definitely did not sound like fireworks, I’ve been hearing those for a week straight. Did anyone else hear this?

Yes, I heard several and they did not sound like the usual fireworks. I have the sounds on camera. Very loud bangs.
It’s fine
What all of us are hearing nightly are dry-ice bombs. There are other methods to obtain the loud booms, but dry ice mixed with bit of water in a sealed two-liter plastic bottle is the most-likely “device.” Plenty of online vids available….
Gee, thank you so much for advertising that…
Just wondering, not criticizing, how you know that. I would think given the time of year that it would be fireworks.
You must go to sleep early. I hear several loud bangs between midnight and 3AM every night. I couldn’t say if they are gunshots or fireworks but they indicate the presence of someone eager to annoy.
Culprit on 1000 block of W Valereo where they have sidewalk sales every weekend shoot them from porch every night.
