County firefighters responded a motorist that was trapped in their damaged vehicle overnight.
At 8:07 a.m., the Santa Barbara County Fire Department responded to a report of a single vehicle crash on Highway 135 northbound at Graciosa Road near Orcutt. A paserby had noticed the vehicle and called 911.
When crews arrived they found a vehicle had rolled over and landed on its roof, approximately 10 feet over the side of the roadway.
Inside was a 54-year-old male that had apparently been trapped there overnight, although it’s unclear for how long.
Extrication was required to reach the driver before he was transported to Marian Regional Medical Center by a ground ambulance with minor injuries.
The cause of the collision is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.

Keep your cell phone in your pocket, Keep Cell in-Pocket! Charge that phone and keep-in-pocket!!! My dear-friends, this has happened in the county in previous times. A person coming from Lompoc was in the bushes for at least two days a few years ago, caught-inside- their-vehicle, Their CELL PHONE NOWHERE TO BE FOUND! No one could see their crash from the roadway.
AND, they could not find their cell phone after a crash. On this previous crash for some reason a driver stopped near the scene a few days later and heard their cries for help. Rescue vehicles arrived and imminent demise was overcome.
