My Mesa neighborhood got hit Monday morning by vehicle burglars. A neighor was able to capture some video of the suspects (stills below).
This happened around 2:30am in the 500 block of La Marina although I heard from other neighbors it was more widespread in the Mesa.
Suspects seem to be two young white or hispanic males. In the video they were seen hitting at least three vehicles. Call SBPD with any details and always lock your car and roll up your windows!
The increasing crime in our community is very sad. In bygone times, stiffer penalties discouraged people from risking crimes like this and a higher standard of living reduced the motivation to steal compared to getting a job. As the old saying goes, it’s going to get a lot worse before it gets better.
CHIP – did they reduce the “penalties” for residential theft? Please cite the sentencing guidelines from “bygone times” and from now.
Oh god you must be a real joy to hang out with lol. Most cynical people became that way because someone’s action caused them pain, often when they were younger. They are afraid of getting hurt again. Ask yourself, what caused this fear of getting hurt? It might be a tough thing to admit, but cynicism is often fueled by fear.
trying to figure out a nice way to say that nice houses usually have nice garages, which are useful for protecting vehicles — even if you have to make room for the vehicle. I realize every person living in the house has a vehicle, so they’d need multiple-car garages.
