On Wednesday, August 30, 2023 shortly before 11:30pm, SMPD officers responded to Railroad & Taylor for a major traffic collision involving 2 vehicles.
Upon arrival officer discovered 3 injured parties, including one who had been ejected from the vehicle. SMFD and AMR responded and transported all injured partied to local hospitals.
SMPD Traffic Unit and CSI responded and began investigating.
There is no updates at this time regarding status of the injured parties.
SMPD Traffic Unit would like encourage drivers in Santa Maria to wear your seat belts and avoid operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
