At 2223 hours Lompoc Fire Department dispatch center received multiple reports of a structure fire in the 400 block of Hawthorne St. on the south side of Lompoc.
Lompoc Fire Department equipment responded with automatic aid assistance from Santa Barbara County Fire Department, and Vandenberg Space Force Base Fire Department.
Upon arrival, crews were met with heavy fire conditions in a two story single family home. Quick action by first arriving Engine companies to control and extinguish the fire limited the fire damage to the second floor of the residence.
A thorough fire investigation is under way to determine the cause and origin of the fire. Fortunately, all occupants were able to safely exit the residence and no injuries were reported.
