There are some interesting road hazards that CHP are responding to this [Weds.] morning.
At Highway 101 north at the Cabrillo offramp and the Salinas offramp, firewood debris is strewn through the number one and two lanes.
On Whitney Ave in Summerland there are two reports about blocking roadways.
In the 2400 block of Whitney Ave, CHP is responding to a report of a private resident placing “No Parking Signs” and cinder blocks in a public roadway to prevent the flow of traffic.
One block down in the 2500 block, there’s another report of an electric truck blocking the driveway.
There’s been a long standing issue with residents on Whitney Ave trying to prevent parking on public streets. Wasn’t there an article on Edhat a while back about them getting in trouble with the county for putting up “private road” signs?
And in this case the 2400 section is public ROW along with all but a westerly 250′ and all of 2500 is private.

I sure hope they left the wood on the freeway so the guilty party could come back and clean it up. CHP just enabling bad behavior…… amma right, BASIC?
