Scanner: “…30 acres,” “…owner of Russell Ramch is on-site…”
Fire now into the brush, full brush response being called out.
Adding Cal fire, a Chumash Engine and crew and shut down HWY 166 west-bound. 6-7 acres.
7:54 PM, updated to “…approximately 10 acres..”
Sounds like it’s the Road IC. Copter 964 and LP along with Co. Dozers. Potential for 15-20 acres. Code 20.
Just west of Spanish Ranch.
7:59 PM, Reinforcemtns enroute from outside the are ETA one-hour and a half.
8:00 PM, Updated to “…aproximately 20 acres, no structures threatened..”

Adding SO responses, 50 vehicles have gotten through the road closure.
8:39 PM, Bulldozers and engines requesting traffic stop ASAP, in order to arrive on scene and be assigned.
8:18 PM, heard the word “…contained…” Bulldozers being used, requesting another type-3 engine, to be assigned upon arrival.
A type-3 engine is a four-wheel-drive-engine used in off-road conditions. I learn something every day.
Better known as a brush truck and the 3 designation is the first number of the engine number.

…or a mountain-terrain-fire-engine.
8:27 PM, Hard closure of Hwy 166 at Chumash Gas Station.
HWY 166 now closed both directions.
Fire named the Rose Incident, 8:42 PM. (??) Can anyone confirm? I heard “Rose…”
I posted about 15 back if you want to take a look.
Unverified.
I posted it at as the Road IC along with the Code 20 @ 7:16pm.
Traffic is being escorted, using Hwy 166 Westbound lane. Requesting to stop traffic escort to allow eincoming engines.
Gonna continue exiting traffic regardles, already-in-motion. Will stop traffic when necessary.

9:14 PM, Stopping traffic to allow engines to arrive.
Now using one lane, one way traffic.
As of 10:27 PM, There were eleven engines still assigned. Undoubtedly, the bull-dozer-equipment seems to have been and are possibly: in the future, one of the most valuable fire supression tools in these specific conditions. Just seems so efficeint! IDK Park Those “Dozers” everywhere and be ready. LOL
