Santa Barbara Airport (SBA) is proud to announce the return of Delta Air Lines. Starting June 7, 2024, Delta will provide daily nonstop services to Atlanta (ATL) once a day & Salt Lake City (SLC) twice a day.
An A220-300 will serve these routes, with a capacity of 130 passengers with 12 First Class seats, 30 Delta Comfort+ seats, and 88 Main Cabin seats. Advance booking is available starting tomorrow, Saturday, September 16, 2023, on www.Delta.com.
Delta previously served SBA with daily direct service to SLC from August 2019 to July 2020. Since the unforeseen end of service due to the complications brought by the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Santa Barbara community has requested the return of SLC service by Delta above all others.
“We warmly welcome Delta Air Lines back to Santa Barbara, and we are honored by their incredible commitment to our community,” says Airport Director, Chris Hastert. “This two-hub announcement demonstrates their desire to serve the needs of all travelers to/from this area with the highest level of service and connections available.”
“By reopening service to Santa Barbara and delivering more ways to access sought-after destinations throughout the U.S. West, we’re more ready than ever to take our customers on their next great adventures – with the service, reliability and convenience they’ve come to know and expect when flying Delta,” said Joe Esposito, Senior Vice President – Network Planning, Delta Air Lines.

For Santa Barbara residents, it will be more convenient than ever before for family and friends visiting from these regions, and to take trips themselves. The Atlanta connection is huge! This will make it much easier to get flights to Europe and beyond. SBA to ATL to AMS is way better than SBA to LAX to DEN to AMS
pretty sure you can go SBA to DEN to AMS or SBA to LAX to AMS or SBA to SFO to AMS now. Atlanta would be out of the way to northern Europe.
Having a connection to Atlanta will be great! It also opens lots more connection options.
Great News…
Great news for skiers! Flying to SLC and then up on the mountain by lunchtime is fantastic.
