Fidencio is the third generation of his family in the wine business. His grandfather Salvador Zepeda was the first to cultivate grapes for Firestone and his father Armando Zepeda planted the first Buttonwood vines. Fidencio not only grows the grapes for Esfuerzo and makes the wine, but also manages a number of award-winning vineyards across Santa Ynez Valley, Sta. Rita Hills AVA, and San Luis Obispo County.
