Sycamore Canyon Closed Due to Trees on Power Lines

By the edhat staff

A section of Sycamore Canyon Road in Montecito is closed due to trees on the power lines.

The Montecito Fire Department is asking motorists to avoid the roadway between East Valley/Camino Viejo and Eucalyptus Roads.

Firefighters were dispatched to the area at 7:15 a.m. Wednesday for reports of multiple trees and power lines down.

Southern California Edison and California Highway Patrol are also on the scene.

There’s no estimated time of reopening.

This is a developing story.
