Just passed the stone bridge on Mission Canyon Road.
A large box cab truck has hit the bridge and is now resting some 10 feet or so on top of the bridge. No sign of police or towing service.

And one of the new flashing-light pedestrian crossing signs got knocked over yesterday. Gosh, do you think some people are driving too fast for conditions –?
Sure hope the wall wasn’t damaged at all. Unlikely, though.
One capstone was knocked off as it was at the end of the wall, otherwise nothing but a few minor chips. Just mortar it back and it’ll be good to go.
Anyone car about the driver who can’t be replaced?
It looks scary, but there’s no sign of damage to the truck cab, so no indication of driver injury. Of course we hope the driver is okay. Kind of goes without saying.
I hope the driver is okay and did not have a medical issue. However if a medical issue did not cause this crash, I’m angry at the driver for not controlling their vehicle. They damaged a beautiful community landmark and could have killed a pedestrian if one was on the bridge.
