Volunteer to Help Carpinteria Residents Impacted by Storm

By Habitat for Humanity of Southern Santa Barbara County

Habitat Santa Barbara is so grateful that in addition to building and repairing homes, we can also be leaders in the disaster response efforts in our community.

On March 21st, extreme weather conditions, including a tornado, caused major damage to approximately two dozen homes in the Sandpiper Mobile Home Park in Carpinteria. We were already engaged with homeowners in this community, providing critical health and safety repairs, even before this storm. We are now assisting even more homeowners with assessing needs and providing applications for home repairs.

In addition to the needs of individual homeowners, the entire property is in need of clean up and debris removal. We have been asked to provide volunteers to assist with clearing debris and general clean up and recovery efforts on Friday, March 24th from 10am-2pm.

If you are able to help with this last-minute but critical volunteer need, we would be so grateful.
