Happy Easter edhatters! It’s time for hiding eggs, baskets of treats, cuddly bunnies, and pastel-colored everything. It’s also a day for families to get together for brunch, lunch, breakfast, or bbqs.
According to Wallethub, candy is the biggest expense for this holiday with Americans expecting to spend $3.3 billion on sweet treats alone. An expected $24 billion in total is expected to be spent for today’s celebrations, approximately $192 per person celebrating.
A few notable stats:
- $49,000: Price of the world’s most expensive chocolate Easter bunny.
- 78%: Share of people who eat chocolate bunnies’ ears first.
- 60%: Share of parents who plan on sending Easter baskets to their children after they’ve moved out.
