Does your family have a “Flying A” story that has been passed down through the years? Did your relatives ever tell stories about watching the movies being filmed here, or talk about being involved in a movie?

I’ve had a couple of very interesting responses. One person had a grandfather who had a job driving the “Flying A” actors and crews to locations, and sent me some pix. Another mentioned that when a family home was constructed in the 1930s in part of the “Flying A” block, a whole bunch of horseshoes were unearthed. As you probably know, a lot of the studio’s movies involved cowboys. What an interesting history we have in this city.
Another “Flying A” family memory just came in. An Edhat reader told me his uncle was a cowboy who worked for the studio here, and he was paid $1 each time he fell off a horse!
