My neighbor caught the suspects of this burglary on Dara Road in Goleta on camera and shared the below message:
Our home on Dara was robbed [Saturday] afternoon. The intruders were very likely the same group the was seen in the neighborhood by others and that burglarized a home near Mountainview last month.
Please be vigilant and call the sheriff immediately if any of the individuals are seen. The group operates by sending a lookout (in our case a woman with a long ponytail) holding a gift-bag to the door. If there is no response, a text is sent and someone will later enter the house from the rear, unlock the front door, and allow others to enter.
The woman arrived at 2:38 p.m. and left at 2:44. A man came at 3:08 and entered the house at 3:22. Two men left our house at 3:52pm Saturday, 6/17/23.
They had backpacks and face masks and fled south on Dara. One was wearing a distinctive fedora which he also wore during the previous robbery. Other posts mentioned a black Audi SUV being involved.
If you noticed anything unusual during this time, have information about this incident, or have video that might feature members of this group, please share it and please be aware so that this doesn’t happen to anyone else

Burglary on Security Camera, 600 Block of Dara Rd. in Goleta
Resident witnessed two males entering her home on Dara Rd. Homeowner was returning from Ventura when she received a notification. They left with a backpack. The two suspects headed toward the ocean on Dara Rd.
She saw that one male had tan shorts and a tan shirt and was wearing a Fedora hat. Five Santa Barbara sheriff’s County Officers quickly responded. No other details available, this is an ongoing investigation.
Those bastards. I hope all of them are caught and prosecuted. BTW, being the fashionista that I am: The hat the one man is wearing is a “trilby,” and not a “fedora.” Difference is the brim size. Trilbies have brims that equal 2″ or less in size. Fedoras have brims = usually 3″.

I hope they catch them and prosecute to the fullest! What an invasion of home and privacy! Makes me sick.
I urge my fellow law abiding citizens to research and become familiar with California’s Castle Doctrine.
The criminals may be getting bolder, smarter, traveling further but those of us who really value their home and family have always been just as ready to deal with them.
Two males fitting the description were seen on Trigo in I.V. on Monday evening, Sherrifs Officers made contact. Does anyone know if they were arrested. They either don’t speak English or pretended to not to.As Officers requested a Spanish speaking Officer to repond.
Some one in I.V. recognized them from Nextdoor. “Tan shorts, White shots,…”[cute Trilby hat.] Hope they leave the area or ar charged! They know who a suspected Black Audi is registered to, a female named Ana.
