1:36 AM, 3357 Cliff Dr. Traffic collision, Closed in 43 min.

2:02 AM, ALARM, 4378 Ocean Rd. Goleta, Ca. at 223 UCSB Theatre and Dance Bldg. Resolved in 49 min.

2:12 AM, Garbage fire at near or at La Pachanga. 518 N. Milpas St. Santa Barbara.

3:20 AM, Traffic collision, Montecito, Hwy 101 & Salinas NB off ramp. Santa Barbara County responded. Duplicate call as SB City Fire also responded.

3:22 AM, Montecito, Salinas On-ramp. Likely the same call, just slightly differnet report and response.

6:36 AM, Fallen person. 3rd St. Solvang. Santa Barbara Co. Responded for a lift assist. Closed in 10 min.

6:51 AM, Illegal fire, 1899 E. Cabrillo Blvd. Cabrillo underpass. Likely another transient-fire.

6:52 AM, Non emergency public service call to DPHS. 7266 Alameda Ave. Goleta. SB County Fire response. No details.

10:13 AM, 3401 Quail Meadows Dr. Santa Barbara Co. response, Investigation closed in 27 min.

4:13 PM, 3919 Camellia Ln. & N. La Cumbre. Falen person, reportedly unresponsive.

5:35 PM, Boat fire, across from Moby Dick’s Restaurant. Dark Smoke initially reported. 4 engines and a Battalion Chief dispatched. On first arrival, it was immediately upgraded to a structure fire.

5:42 PM, Anacapa & Micheltorena, fall Victim. No sirens, no lights response.

Many Falls lately. 5:47 PM. No sirens, Anacapa and Micheltorena. Victim fell, may need help getting back-up or possibly other more serious unknown issues.

5:48 PM, 14 Year Old female suffering from alcohol poisoning. West side of Stearns Wharf. 

5:57 PM, Someone is verbally attempting to hold-off a jumper on Cold Springs bridge. CHP dispatched and enroute ASAP. Male with Dark shirt and Jeans. Vehicle parked on the bridge. SB County Fire responded toward Lake Cachuma at 6:01 PM. Subject acting erratically. 6:50 PM, mother is requesting to speak to Fire Dept. regarding the next course of action. SBSO is advising this is likely an 11-44 and is now a Coroner requested call. There are many resourse outhere. PLEASE, please, reach out for a loved one or for Your Own Self Care. The support exists now-days. Be well and love thyself. 

6:01 PM, Male walking with a hatchet inhand—reportedly. Not disturbing the peace. Concerned citizen stated a male is walking and holding the hatchet by the blade, assuming it’s in a sleeve or some sort of blade protector? Last seen in front of Rite-Aid on Cliff Dr. Unresoved information.

6:22 PM, Transient female, dark clothes, pushing a cart at State St. and De La Guerra. Disturbing the Peace. Reporting party was advised by dispatch to not continue following her. Still following, at Haley and State. Heard a “..one in custody…” soon after, not sure if related. Although, the reporting party was not gonna let this one go, as it became apparent.

6:25 PM 627 State St. Silent alarm soon cancelled by alarm Co.

6:34 PM, Carp. Mid. School. Children, on roof. WM juvenile, also a female with highlighter-yellow shirt. Warned.

7:00 PM, HMA seen stumbling, and repeatedly falling. Missed the location, did not copy due to static. Likely a city call.

9:25 PM, Hit and run. Unsure if vehicle related or battery and fleeing. At Castillo and Montecito, a reporting party was able to follow and capture a Lic. Plate. The Fleeing subject allegedly and apparently traveled on surface streets in a getaway attempt. The alleged perpetrator was eventually able to get onto  the 101 South-Bound, although his reported immediate-homeward-bound-route would have been somewhere in Goleta. Unresolved at this time.

9:56 Keg-and-Bottle store  in Isla Vista. Allegedly, the Liquor-Store attendant appears to be UI and or “HMA” As per the reporting party. It is unclear if the claims are valid, or if a crime was actually committed.

10:25 PM, female and male drinking outside a San Roque Laundry. Not sure if this is actually illegal, unless the actual owner reported the drinking. Can anyone clarify, it’s private property, near a public street, visible from the street??

So many more Medical calls, and static ridden SB City calls. Nature of Reporting, It’s all “Static.” LOL avoid the static and drama, keep your head clear!

  1. If police radios contained sim cards and transmitted on a redundant VOIP channel, we wouldn’t need to worry about static, and the words could be transcribed automatically.
    If the internet fails for some reason, the traditional radio signals could be utilized.
    I wonder if enforcers would be opposed to the increased transparency for some reason.
    Remember that officer activity is public property; we can demand transparency if we feel it is appropriate.
