Last night, in Winchester Canyon, we saw the fire come back over the ridge and down the mountain a ways. I can’t find ANY info anywhere about this new movement. It grew fast and spread quickly over the couple hours I was watching it. Anyone know if it’s still moving or what? With the fog that rolled in last nigh, I couldn’t see it anymore after a couple hours, but I know it’s still there because it’s impossible to completely extinguish all evidence of a fire that large that fast.
They are busy fighting the fire and the updates that they are doing are in the mornings. Until the fire is out there is still danger folks, don’t unpack what you would want to save, that’s silly! There is still real danger, containment is NOT along those ridges and if you go on KEYT and watch this morning’s briefing you will see that. There are fingers to this fire, it is all being fought to the best of their ability and there are now over 1,000 personnel and 10 helicopters out there. If they have to stop and update us every 15 minutes then they can’t focus on taking care of business. Be safe, be prepared and be patient. Pack that stuff back up…
