The family of a local man who was electrocuted during the microburst storm last week is asking for the community’s help.
Tony Easbey, a 25-year-old Dos Pueblos High School graduate, suffered extensive injuries and burns after walking through an area where a tree had fallen on live wires. A 16,000-volt power line came in contact with the falling tree during the powerful microburst storm.
It was previously reported that Easbey was rescued from the scene by a neighbor who witnessed the event. He was then taken to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in critical condition and eventually transferred to a burn center in Woodland Hills.
As of Monday morning, Easbey was heading into his second temporary skin graft surgery. Family and friends created a GoFund Me account to help with the financial cost of Easbey’s medical bills and recovery.
