On 9/25/17 at 1004 hours a male subject was in the rear alley of JC Penny’s in the 1300 block of South Broadway. Two unknown Hispanic males approached him and began assaulting him. At some point during the altercation, the victim received a single stab wound to the stomach.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital where he is currently being treated for his wounds, which appear to be non-life threatening. There is no evidence suggesting this assault is gang related.
The suspects have not been identified. The Santa Maria Police Department is requesting anyone with information on this incident contact the Santa Maria Police Detective Bureau at (805) 928-3781 x 278.
