Last weekend we went to the Rise Lantern Festival. Located on the Mowapa Paiute Indian Reservation, North Las Vegas. We were given a mat, a pen and two lanterns.
As the sun set 13,000 people gathered and prepared their lanterns. 8:15pm, torches were lit and we worked together for The Rise.
You can’t explain the feeling as you watched your lantern Rise higher and higher, everyone with a different message. Only days after the shooting, #VegasStrong.
Remind me to not invite you to my next dinner party.
