I wonder if this happened to anyone else. A friend of mine has had his ballot delivered back to him. The reason was apparently because of the way in which the envelope is printed. Look closely and you can see why the sorting machine (and the mail carrier) made a mistake.
In the center of the back of the envelope is clearly printed the name and address of the sender. Evidently, the envelope was turned over when it went through the sorting machine and was assigned to the route of the sender’s address. The mail carrier did not notice this amidst a pile of mail and delivered it back to my friend who now has only one day in which to take it in by hand. Clearly, the envelope should be redesigned and the return address should be on the front of the envelope in the upper left-hand corner as is normal, or in the upper corner on the back.
Has anyone else had this experience?
