District Attorney Joyce E. Dudley announced today that a criminal Complaint has been filed against Brandon Johnson. Mr. Johnson is charged with assaulting a public official (juror), in violation of Penal Code section 217.1(a) and threatening a juror, in violation of Penal Code section 95.1.
The charges arose as a result of an incident that occurred outside of the Santa Barbara Superior Court, Department 2 on October 18, 2017 after Mr. Johnson had been found guilty of two counts of battery on a police officer.
The arraignment is scheduled on December 21, 2017 at 8:30 am in Dept. 8 of the Santa Barbara Superior Court.
