On 3-28-18 at about 8PM, SMPD officers responded to the area of 1300 N. Railroad in regards to a shooting victim. Upon arrival, officers located a 17-year-old male victim, suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Marian Regional Medical Center by ambulance and was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
There is no suspect information at this time and the investigation is ongoing. SMPD Detective Bureau is asking anyone having information to contact the Santa Maria Police Department at 805-928-3781 or leave an anonymous tip on the police website.
