Various sizes of rocks up to four feet in diameter and clean fill dirt retrieved in the 1/9 Debris Flow cleanup are available for free on Thursday (April 12), Friday (April 13) and Monday, April 16 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Contractors and community members with dump trucks which are five yards or larger may pick up rocks and clean fill dirt for landscaping or other purposes across the street from the South Coast Recycling and Transfer Station, at 4430 Cathedral Oaks, Santa Barbara, CA. 93110. “Our county staff will be available to assist with the loading rocks and dirt into dump trucks,” says Tom Fayram, Deputy Public Works Director. “This is one more way the County is working actively to partner with the community in response to the 1/9 Debris Flow,” he added.
