By Tom Modugno of Goleta Surfing
It pays to have other hobbies besides surfing if you live in the Goleta area. It’s also wise to have a variety of boards that will allow you to take advantage of whatever size surf Mother Nature decides to send us.
So on days like this, you can actually paddle out and catch something besides a cold.
This was one of those days, where we showed a little ill-equipped, so rather than flounder around on my fish and get in the way, I decided to take some pictures of a man that thrives in these conditions.
Cole Robbins is a professional long boarder, and empty days like these make him smile.
And he makes riding these little waves look so damn fun…
Running out to the nose then turning around and running back… so many activities, so little time.
There were only one or two other guys out, making the most of the micro sets.
And they all were having a swell time…
But Cole was clearly the Micro Manager 🙂
