Did you know that 85 of the City’s 118 traffic signalized intersections are synchronized? They’re timed to maximize throughput and safety, while minimizing stops and waits for pedestrians. One-way streets near downtown are timed for 25 mph, while State Street between Haley and Victoria is timed for 12 mph.

12mph is still 4x faster than walking. It’s not like there are great store windows to peer into when doing State St. on foot.
Can we get something done about the mess that is (are?) the traffic lights at the Carrillo underpass? That whole place is a disaster!!
Not only that one!. Traffic lights in general are a disaster. How about Roundabouts? They work – and keep traffic moving. Don’t think so? Visit Europe. You’ll see.
Really? This town is full of bottlenecks that the “Traffic Engineers” don’t seem to know what to do about.
