The vacant building at the corner of State and Gutierrez now has a new tenant, Habitat Home & Garden.
On Tuesday, GPS Commercial Real Estate announced plans for the new tenants plan to put the 6,750 square foot space under “minor beautification to the inside and outside of the building.”
Habitat Home & Garden has a location in downtown San Luis Obispo that’s been in business for over 20 years. They sell a wide variety of furniture, home decor, plants, and design services.
The business plans to be open within the next few months.
Commenters seem to forget or ignore that quite a few people live downtown, east and west of State Street. Haywards has had a business between Chapala and State, below Gutierrez for years; the very popular and busy Home Improvement Center is a little more than 5 blocks east on Gutierrez. I look forward to this new store, bringing some life to State!
