Does anyone know why all the plum trees were removed from the Fairview northbound onramp?

That’s a shame. I always enjoyed seeing those ornamental plums there. That stand of trees was there for so long, you can bet removing them also destroyed habitat for various animals. How sad.
Ornamentals by definition don’t produce flowers or bear fruit.
What a pity. They were a pleasure to look at each spring and summer! To cut them down because of drought conditions and then to establish an irrigation system and plant more doesn’t make sense, except in the land of the bullet train, now up to $77+billion and that was argued to save money by LA-SF commuters who now drive or fly. (It doesn’t look like that train will get to LA any reasonable time in the future.)
….expected cost to rise to $98 billion…….Q: When can I ride the train Gov. Brown?”….A: “No sooner than…..drum rolllllllll…..2033.” $98,000,000,000….tooot toooooot….
Great segue…next post lets bring up the wall or something else totally irrelevant. Good onya gettin that rant out there.
