Cliff Dr is a racetrack. The police would have huge revenue if they enforced the speed limit their.
I’ll just point out the obvious, BACK INTO YOUR DRIVEWAY. I live in West Valerio and I always back into my driveway. I wait until it is safe to do so, making it possible to exit later with the confidence that I can see what I am confronting on the street.
I live on this block for the last 30 years. The incidence of traffic collisions has escalated (increased). 5 years ago they took away the parking (2200 block of Cliff dr. for the bike riding contingents that only use the road a half dozen times a year. There rarely is an accident there (the East direction Cliff dr). They all (I have seen dozens) are Westward. The SB civil engineer says there would be a bottle neck of left turners onto Mesa Lane if they reduce the 4 lanes to 2. Like they successfully did 5 years ago from Taco Bell to City College. SO until then we have to suffer monthly accidents and treacherous conditions for the 40 (plus) MPH traffic on the Eastern Cliff dr. from 2100 block on, right into the setting sun. They could: Move the double yellow lines over 2′, reduce the lanes, reduce the speed limit. But so far they rather let all the accidents happen.
