Hailed as a “pianist of genius” by the Washington Post, Gustavo Romero (Professor of Piano at the University of North Texas) will present a program of works by Federico Mompou, Emma Lou Diemer, and Enrique Granados as part of UCSB’s Spanish Piano Festival on Monday, November 27, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. in Karl Geiringer Hall on the UCSB campus. The program celebrates the 150th birth date of Granados and the 90th birthday of Emma Lou Diemer, Professor Emerita of Composition at UCSB. Mr. Romero will also present a masterclass on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 10 a.m. featuring performances by UCSB piano students. Admission to both events is free.
