Are you dreading the holidays? Are you tired of carrying the emotional labor of your entire family each year? Does the hustle bustle and rush of the upcoming holiday season leave you feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, resentful, panicky, empty, or wishing for something more?
Santa Barbara psychotherapist, Christine Scott-Hudson, is both a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, as well as a Registered Clinical Art Therapist, and she’s ready to help you learn how to slow down and put the meaning and joy back into the holiday season! She is trained in both verbal and non-verbal psychotherapy modalities, such as art therapy and Somatic therapy, and wants to use these techniques to help you create a more peaceful and enjoyable holiday season.
Scott-Hudson says “In the rush to create the ‘BEST HOLIDAY EVER,’ we often get lost in the frenzied, bleary-eyed mall shopping, overspending, party hopping, overindulging, and mad rushing, which ultimately, leave us feeling anything but merry. I want to help you set a personal and meaningful intention so that you may actually create the kind of holiday that feels nourishing and nurturing for you.”
Scott-Hudson is hosting her women’s holiday art therapy workshop, called MAKE/MEANING, at her colorful art therapy studio in downtown Santa Barbara. The cost is $150 and includes all expressive art and writing materials. No experience is necessary to join. These holiday workshops are Scott-Hudson’s most popular and sell out quickly every year. Gift certificates are available for this workshop.
MAKE/MEANING will be held on Saturday, November 11th, at Create Your Life Studio in Santa Barbara from 10 am – 3 pm. Pre-registration is required. Please visit www.createyourlifestudio.com for more information about Create Your Life Studio, and to register. May this be your most meaningful holiday yet!
