Calligraphy Workshop with Patty Berns

Learn the techniques of writing with a calligraphy felt pen in this adult art workshop at Art From Scrap. Guest Artist Patty Berns will introduce faux-style and flourishing and guide participants using hand lettered templates. You’ll learn how to compose words and sentences and practice good spacing. Discover the strategies of good composition to create your own artwork. Each participant will produce a beautiful phrase of ‘word art’ suitable for framing.
No prior experience is necessary, just a desire to learn. Left-handed calligraphers are always welcome.
This $35 workshop includes a glass of wine, two hours of instruction, and all tools and materials. Each attendee will leave with their own calligraphy felt pen to continue their new found skills at home.
