Veterans Day Program in Solvang

Come honor our Veterans!
The Veterans Day program in Solvang will be held at the Solvang Veterans Memorial Hall. It will last approximately one and a half hours. There will be a free lunch to follow.
Program includes:
- Flag Raising in front of building by members of Solvang American Legion Post 160
- Call to the Colors/Taps by Bugler Michael Roberts
- Opening Remarks by Alvin Salge, Commander, VFW Post 7139
- Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag
- Singing of Star Spangled Banner by Santa Ynez Valley Master Chorale; Michael Eglin, Director
- Boy Scout Troop presents flags representing the branches of services: Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard, Merchant Marines; and the POW/MIA flag brought in by Rudie Henderson, a former Commander of VFW Post and current Junior Vice Commander, and USAF Korean War Veteran.
- Performance: Santa Ynez Valley Union High School Band directed by Allen Smithson
- Key Note Speaker, Col Robert York Jr., Commander, 30th Space Wing Medical Group, VAFB
- Performance: Santa Ynez Valley Master Chorale
- Speaker: Jeff Willis, Former USMC Sgt and VFW Post Chaplain and American Legion Post Adjutant
- Performance: Santa Ynez Valley High School Jazz Band directed by Les Rose
- Speaker: Col John Kuelbs, Retired Army Green Beret Ranger and Judge Advocate General Attorney, VFW Member
- Closing Remarks by Alvin Salge, Commander, VFW Post 7139
- Performance: Santa Ynez Valley Master Chorale and the American Heritage Girls
- Benediction: Pastor Chris Brown, Bethania Lutheran Church, Solvang
- Adjourn to Complimentary Lunch in American Legion Hall
