Funk Zone Art Walk

Artist, Ruth Ellen Hoag, will be sharing the research and insight of her process that created the murals, East of Yesterday, displayed on the exterior of 10 E. Yanonali St. These murals depict the history of the Funk Zone from warehouse and industrial area of the past to the vibrant arts district and visitors’ playgrounds of today. Many of the people that have lived and worked in the community will be stopping by, making the murals come to life. Along with Ruth’s scaled versions used as her models, there will be preliminary art work for the murals as well as other paintings by the artist.
