Youth Interactive is excited to celebrate April’s Poetry Month with visual and verbal salutations to words that make sentences that speak to all of us, poetically, personally and descriptively.
State Gallery has the work of Santa Barbara printmaker Bay Hallowell on the walls with her exhibition, Truth Be Told. Her visual incantation of words and phrases redefines how we as viewers see words, and the power we give words and phrases.
Youth Interactive is thrilled to partner with Santa Barbara City College’s Middle College Circle to have a poetry slam showcase during First Thursday festivities.
Simon Kiefer’s Typewriter Project will also be in the building. Typewriters will be available for personal sonnets, stanzas and Haikus.
Youth Interactive students will have Makers Spaces inviting you to create and personalize jewelry, art, bags and tee’s.
There will be music, wine and much merriment during this Art Walk and we can’t wait to share that with you.
State Gallery is located at 1219 State Street across the street from the historic Granada Theatre in the heart of the downtown Arts District.
YI Shop hours are 10am – 6pm Monday thru Saturday 11am – 5pm Sunday.
