“Advances in the Treatment of Breast Cancer Lymphedema”

Dr. Marisa Perdoma, PT, DPT, Assistant Professor of Clinical Physical therapy at USC, specializes in cancer rehabilitation, and participates in clinical research regarding clinical practice guidelines for cancer–related lymphedema. She is also a cancer survivor and offers a unique perspective on healing from cancer treatments. She will discuss updates on early diagnosis of breast cancer related lymphedema, new diagnostic guidelines and tools, and evidence based treatment options including surgical intervention.
