The La Cumbre Country Club of Santa Barbara is pleased to announce it will be one of the several sites throughout the country to host a United States Golf Association Mid-Amateur qualifier between August 7th and August 21st, 2019.
Golfers who have reached their 25th birthday by September 14th, 2019 and carry a handicap index of 3.4 or lower are eligible to attempt to qualify. There will be a total of 264 individuals across the country who qualify for this annual event.
This year’s Mid-Amateur will be held at the Colorado Golf Club in Aurora, Colorado on September 14th through the 19th, 2019. The Colorado Golf Club previously hosted the 2010 Senior PGA Championship as well as the 2013 Solheim Cup.
The format on Saturday and Sunday, September 14th and 15th will be 18-holes each of stroke play after which there will be a cut allowing the low 64 golfers to advance to match play which will take place on Monday through Thursday, September 16th through the 19th.
